Chief physician Shuang-Cheng Lee is a famous TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) ophthalmologist. He learned the TCM knowledge from his father, Zhi-Yu Lee, a very prestigious TCM specialist, when he was a child. Then, he studied in the medical department of Lanzhou University. After graduating, he worked in “Xi’an TCM Hospital” as director of TCM ophthalmology. This is a precedent of TCM ophthalmology in Xi’an region. He had ever been the deputy director in “Ophthalmology Committee of Chinese Medical Society in Shanxi”, deputy board chairperson of “Xi’an Oriental Traditional Medicine Research Association”, group leader of ophthalmology in “Shanxi Senior Technician Evaluation Committee”, chairman of the “Ophthalmology Postgraduate Thesis Defense Committee of Shanxi TCM Institute”, and so on. He has been teaching, researching and working on TCM ophthalmology more than 40 years, and created “Doctrines in TCM Ophthalmology”. He is proficient in the diagnosis and treatment of eye problems, and had cured many cases of difficult eyes disease. He received the “Scientific and Technical Progress Reward” from the national and Shanxi provincial TCM administration bureaus in 1992. “Ophthalmology Annotation using a Series of Three Words” is also his works.
